One word that would describe me: imaginative. I remember as a child growing up watching my father create these beautiful landscape paintings. I tried to recreate everything he ever sketched or painted -- i wasn't nearly as good as he was. However the important part was I learned a lot from him and he inspired me to pursue a career in the creative field.
One of my favorite movies as a child was Disney's Fantasia. I especially loved the part when the broom sticks came alive and kept on multiplying. It was cartoons like Fantasia that allowed me to get a better understanding of the creative mind and how ideas are produced. Most of the time when I am coming up with a new idea, I find myself looking back at my childhood. I believe that children are the most creative people in the world, which is why I like to think like a child when sketching new ideas or creating illustrations.
As we grow it is important to never lose that inner child in you, it allow you to see the world in a totally different way. I find that adults tend to take things for exactly what it is; a car is just a car, a pencil is just a pencil and a flower is a flower. But, if you give a five year old a pencil it becomes more than just a pencil. To a five year old that pencil becomes a rocket ship getting ready to blast off, it becomes a submarine ready for combat, or a speeding missile intercepting astroids on collision course to Earth. Because kids do not fully understand how everything works, their imagination takes over and create things that not even some adults would think of. A pencil may just be a a tool created for the purpose of writing, but to a child it is millions of things with millions of puroses.
That to me is creativity to its fullest
